Sochi Olympics Closing Ceremony: Russia mocks failing Olympic rings

During the Opening Ceremony for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, a malfunctioning Olympic ring became one of the more memorable moments from the spectacle, despite an incredible show put on by the host nation.

On Sunday morning during the Closing Ceremony, Russia took the time to poke a little fun at themselves and show that they have a sense of humor.

With hundreds of people marching on the ground to form the Olympic ring formation, the Russian’s purposely left one of the rings closed before eventually fixing the issue.

Once the closing ceremony has completed, the Sochi Games will officially be in the books.

After all of the competitions were completed throughout the past two weeks, it was Russia who came away with the overall medal lead, while the United States finished in second.
