Jadeveon Clowney skips on-field drills at combine with hip flexor

After lighting up the 40-yard dash at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine, South Carolina star Jadeveon Clowney decided to skip the on-field position drills that the remainder of the defensive linemen were going through.

Clowney told Willie McGinest of the NFL Network that his hip flexor was tightening up, so he decided to bypass the drills and focus on the broad and vertical jumps.

As soon as Clowney decided to pass on the position drills, Mike Mayock and the NFL Network crew were expressing their unhappiness with Clowney for skipping the drills, which play right into the narrative that he has a less than stellar work ethic.

Regardless of what happens the remainder of his time in Indianapolis, Clowney has solidified himself as a top pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

People can bag on Clowney as much as they want, but the fact remains that he is a physical freak and one of the  most dominant defensive ends we have ever seen take the field in college football.

His film speaks for itself.
