In January, for a moment, it seemed as if the New York Knicks – after a mighty struggle during the first two months of the season – had finally come together and righted the ship.
“It’s starting to get tough to handle,” Anthony said after the Knicks blew a 17-point lead and lost to an under-manned Atlanta team that had been winless in eight games.
It’s not just the recent struggles that are likely wearing on the former Syracuse star, but the impending fate of head coach Mike Woodson and the lack of movement at the NBA’s trade deadline that are irritating Melo. This all of course on top of the constant free agent rumors.
Of course, it’s hard to feel sorry for Carmelo given he all but forced his way to the Knicks as a member of the Denver Nuggets.
Just another case of being careful what you wish for.
