The tensions mounting in San Francisco are starting to get so intense that it’s hard to ignore. After a story broke last week that the team had a trade offer from the Cleveland Browns that would have seen the Niners part ways with Jim Harbaugh, there has been rumors after rumors flying out of the Bay Area about how tumultuous the relationship between Harbaugh and general manager Trent Baalke is.

Jason La Canfora from CBSSports has the latest rumor and states that things ware so bad between Harbaugh and Baalke that they’re only communicating through email. La Canfora also states that the Niners may have to ultimately choose one over the other if this toxic relationship continues.

"There was a persistent rumble throughout the combine about the extent of the rift between coach Jim Harbaugh and the team’s front office. It doesn’t seem like it will go away, and there is increasing buzz that the team might have to decide between Harbaugh or GM Trent Baalke."

All of this is coming as a surprise to many fan who are use to hearing about this kind of a relationship from a bad team, not one that reached the NFC Championship game for three straight seasons. The tension seems to only be mounting and it’s a situation to watch moving forward.
