Monday is the start of a new week on ESPN’s Streak for the Cash and the board has a different look as we get started today.  The main difference is that the Winter Olympics are over meaning the morning picks will be coming from a new source.  Today, we lead off with a prop  from the ATP Dubai Championship before our typical trio of European soccer options.  Tonight, the NBA and college basketball again stock a solid board with the NHL ready to resume their season tomorrow after their Olympic intermission.  It’s a bit of a lighter day in terms of total picks, but there are still plenty of chances to grab some green.  Here’s my picks with a quick breakdow of eachmy confidence on a scale of 1-10:

2/24 Streak Picks

Jan 24, 2014; Melbourne, AUSTRALIA; Roger Federer (SUI) during his match against Rafael Nadal (ESP) on day twelve of the 2014 Australian Open at Melbourne Park. Mandatory Credit: Nicolas Luttiau/Presse Sports via USA TODAY Sports

10:00- 7 Games or More: Roger Federer takes on Benjamin Becker.  The two have met three previous times and Becker has won seven or more games each time.  Becker has been struggling, though, lately and just lost in the first round at Delray Beach 6-1, 6-3 to Marin Cilic. Becker’s poor form makes him a tough pick, but his history against Fed means I think he can take enough games to cover. Confidence-4

1:00- Fiorentina Win or Draw: Fiorentina is 13-5-6 as they visit Parma who is 9-9-5. The two teams played to a 2-2 draw earlier this season. Take the draw with the slightly better team, but this is a coin flip pick. Confidence-3

3:00- Napoli wins by 2+ Goals: Napoli has won three of their last four by multiple goals as they host Genoa in this Serie A Match.  Napoli went to Genoa and won 2-0 earlier in the 2013-14 season.  Genoa has gotten a win or row in four of their last five Serie A games, but Napoli at home is formidable enough that I think they’ll win by multiple goals. Confidence-4 1/2

4:00- Espanyol win: In this La Liga match, Villareal gets the draw as they head to Espanyol.  Villareal is 12-4-8 and a few spots ahead of Expanyol, but they  have lost three of their last four games. Espanyol has won their last two and is 6-2-4 at home, so I think they’ll get the win outright over the bigger name Villareal. Confidence-4

7:00- Philadelphia 76ers: In a matchup of two of the worst teams in the league, the Bucks travel to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers. Phily made some moves at the deadline and will have a new look as they take the floor against the Bucks who have gone 3-21 in this calendar year. Neither team is good, but I think the Sixers at home with the infusion of energy from their new look. Confidence-3

7:00- Syracuse Orange: Syracuse looks to bounce back from a pair of tough losses after losing to BC and Duke this past week.  The Orange are only favored by 3 1/2 as they travel to Maryland where the Terps have lost three of their last five overall but have won their last three home games.  The Orange should be able to bounce back and get the win, though, since they’re still one of the top teams in the nation. Confidence-7

Feb 22, 2014; Stillwater, OK, USA; Oklahoma State Cowboys guard Marcus Smart (33) and wing Le

7:02- Oklahoma State Wins by Double Digits: OSU is favored by 11 1/2 as they travel to TCU, and I think they’ll cover despite their recent slide. The Cowboys dropped seven in a row before bouncing back with a bit 18-point win over Texas Tech in Marcus Smart’s return.  On the other side of things, TCU is 0-14 in Big 12 play and have lost their last five games by double digits. Confidence-6

7:30- Dallas Mavericks: The Mavs aren’t good on the road, but they still are 3 1/2 point favorites as they take on the Knicks who continue to struggle badly. Dallas has gone 8-2 in their last ten while the Knicks have slid to losses in eight of their last ten. Confidence-4 1/2

Feb 22, 2014; Salt Lake City, UT, USA; Utah Jazz small forward Jeremy Evans (40) slams the ball into the basket against the Minnesota Timberwolves during the second quarter at EnergySolutions Arena. Mandatory Credit: Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

9:00- Utah Jazz: The Jazz are favored by three as they welcome in the Celtics who have lost four in a row.  Utah and Boston both have both been horrible this season, but since Boston’s on the road where they’re just 8-21 I’ll go with Utah who is 12-16 at home. Confidence-5

9:05- Kansas wins by Double Digits: Oklahoma heads to Phog Allen as winners of three of their last four.  The Sooners face the Jayhawks for the second time this season after losing by seven at home back on January 8.  Kansas is the pick here though since they’ve been playing so well at home, including beating Texas by 31 in their most recent game.  KU is always good in conference play at home, and I can’t pick against them here. Confidence-6
