Bulls Jimmy Butler out against Hawks

The Chicago Bulls will be their starting guard for the second straight game.

Jimmy Butler (ribs) will miss the Bull’s road game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Butler suffered the injury during the Bulls 117-89 win over the Denver Nuggets. He suffered the injury in a collision during the first quarter.

Butler was not able to return, ending his night after just 11 minutes. He finished with 8 points and 2 rebounds during the short time.

Butler missed Sunday’s game against the Miami Heat, where the Bulls were taken down 93-79. LeBron James was also out of the game with a broken nose. The loss without Butler ended the Bulls’ five game win streak.

With Butler out, expect rookie Tony Snell to get the start. Snell finished with 20 points against the Nuggets after Butler went down, but was held to just 6 against the Heat during his start.

Butler, 24, has averaged 12.4 points and 5 rebounds this season for the Bulls.
