The first goal came in the fourth from midfielder Henrik Mkhitaryan. It wasn’t the prettiest of goals. Marco Reus had gotten past the defenders and into the box but lost the ball when defenders slid over to him. Mkhitaryan was there to knock the free rolling ball past the keeper into the back of the net.
Just a minute later Reus got a goal of his own to give Dortmund a 2-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game. This goal was more by design and not by accident. It started with Mkhitaryan passing into the middle before it was quickly touched to the waiting Reus who put it past the keeper inside the right post.
