Shortstop is a fascinating fantasy baseball position since teams take such different approaches to the position.  Some teams in the NL have an elite offensive player in the position and enjoy solid production from the player in the middle of their lineup.  However, other NL teams are content to let lesser offensive players play daily at SS since they are so good defensively.

We’ll take a look at each team’s options and outlook at the position as we continue our 2014 fantasy baseball preview here at Fansided.com.  Last week, we focused on all the SS in the American League and tomorrow come back for my full SS rankings for the season. Later this week, we’ll turn our attention to 3B and then delve into each team’s starting rotations and some sleeper options around the league.

In this post, we’ll look at who played shortstop for each team last season, who is projected to play the position this season, and what fantasy value each team’s option presents. The numbers in parentheses are the games played at SS in 2013 for the team.
