The Goats seem to be heading off in the right direction, despite their future being in question. Wilmer Cabrera’s Chivas USA signed former Aston Villa forward Luke Moore to a contract from Turkish side Sanica Boru Elazigspor. As per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Moore is a very talented player who has proven his scoring ability at the international level by playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world,” said Chivas USA head coach Wilmer Cabrera in a club statement. “He’s going to be a very important addition to our team in terms of competition, depth, and possibilities up front to create scoring opportunities and goals.”

Moore spent his youth and development at Premier League side Aston Villa. He also played with West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City before continuing his playing career in Turkey.

As for the rest of the Chivas USA first team, their intention was to get the better of the Colorado Rapids in Wednesday’s Desert Diamond Cup clash at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Ariz. Here is the rest of Chivas USA’s remaining preseason docket.
