Linebacker Brian Orakpo might not be testing free agency after all. The Washington Redskins are continuing to talk with his representatives in hopes of re-signing the Pro Bowler.

Among the Redskins’ free agents, new head coach Jay Gruden identified Orakpo as one of the players he would most like to see back this year.

"“He’s a top priority for us. We’d love to get Brian back,” Gruden said. “Obviously, we have a lot of respect for what Brian has done as a Washington Redskin. We hope to get him back next year, no question. We’re evaluating every free agent that’s on our team and that’s out there in the National Football League, very, very hard. We’ll make those decisions when they come up.”"

Orakpo has made a living coming of the edge to rush the passer in the NFL. He finished last year with 70 tackles and 10 sacks. CBS Sports has him ranked as the No. 4 free agent in 2014 behind Jimmy Graham, Greg Hardy and Jairus Byrd.
