The Sacramento kings failed to trade Jimmer Fredete before the deadline last week and are now in the process of buying him out and releasing him. There are a slew of teams that could be interested in Fredette, as he’s likely to flourish in the right system.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings had advanced trade talks about Fredette before the deadline passed, but instead of trading for Fredette, the Nuggets landed Aaron Brooks. That interest in Fredette could be revisited by the Nuggets when he’s bought out.

The Nuggets have Brooks now and are not looking like true contenders in the Western Conference this year, so signing Fredette might be out of the question. Still, the Nuggets showed interest in him very recently, and being able to pick him up for nothing more than a minimum contract may be too appealing to pass up.
