The Sacramento Kings are in the process of buying out Jimmer Fredette and when he hits the market, it appears there will be plenty of interest in the young guard. While the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz have already been mentioned and seemingly ruled out, the Memphis Grizzlies have merged as a team that may end up being a realistic landing spot for Jimmer.

According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, the Grizzlies engaged in trade talks with the Kings for Jimmer a few times over the past year, and that logically makes them a realistic destination for the soon-to-be free agent guard.

Stein later points out that Jimmer may want to head to a non-playoff team that would allow him more playing time and thus raise his value to teams looking at him in free agency this offseason. No matter where he goes, there will be interest in Jimmer and getting out of the hole he was in back in Sacramento may be the best move of his career yet.
