NBA Rumors: Miami Heat most likely suitor to sign Danny Granger?

The Philadelphia 76ers have yet to buyout Danny Granger and there’s still a bit of uncertainty if such a move will be made.

Some have suggested that Granger attempt to re-establish his value with the Sixers and head into free agency showing he can still play. Others have hinted his best move would be to agree on a buyout and sign with a contender.

We’ll likely know what move Granger opts for in the coming hours/days, but if he is bought out the Miami Heat are expected to show interest in signing the veteran. It’s also where Yannis Koutroupis of Basketball Insiders believes Granger will sign.

I think Granger ends up in Miami. San Antonio makes some sense too, but I honestly think that Metta World Peace is the better option for them.

Granger should get some run with the Heat and few teams have a better opportunity for an NBA Championship than Miami.

It also gives Granger the opportunity to burn his former team, who he’s not exactly happy with given the last second trade sending him to Philadelphia.

He can’t anymore since the Heat just signed Liggins.

10 day contact will probably b over by the time he clears waivers!

    • Real M-Fing talk !!!

actually, they can send Liggins down in the middle of the 10 day contract if Granger becomes available without it affecting the Heat
and @Stanley Carr, for NBA players to be playoff eligible, they need to be on your roster by March 1

I hope the Heat sign him, but there are rumors that some heat players dont wanted him but again i just hope that those are just rumors..Granger will be a great addition i dont know if Butler would be

i agree, Riley needs to sign Danny if only as a keep away. why allow teams you
are battling to get stronger… the Pacers had a roster spot and they
signed Bynum, as a keep away dispite what they said… Why keep guys like
Douglas on the team they serve zero purpose.

Granger will complete Miami. Especially given Oden can manage a solid 15-20 min game come playoff time and of course with the big 3 healthy, there’s not 1 team that can stop them. I’m just a total NBA fan, the Pacers are a good team no doubt but they just don’t have the UMPH to get past MIA in 7 games. Only way is MIA beating themselves and I do believe homecourt advantage will have a role in that series. Until Saturday my fingers will be crossed in hopes Granger goes to Miami. I mean c’mon, it’s the only team that REALLY makes sense for both Granger and Miami. GET THE RING!!!
