Rockets Dwight Howard returns to game

After leaving during the first period, Dwight Howard is back on the court for the Houston Rockets as they face the Sacramento Kings.

Howard left after playing 8 minutes when he and Kings’ center DeMarcus Cousins hit knees.

Howard was in line for a big game, as he had 5 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block in just prior to leaving.

The Rockets are on the first end of a back-to-back tonight. They’ll be in Los Angeles to face the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday night.

Howard is averaging 18.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks in his first year with the Rockets.

If the Rockets hang on tonight against the Kings, they’ll have a one game lead on the 4th seeded Clippers.

With Lob City in the arena, the Rockets will need their anchor down low.
