The Minnesota Timberwolves will continue to be shorthanded.

With the 8th seeded Phoenix Suns on the schedule, the Wolves will be without two of their top 3 scores.

The Wolves (27-29) currently sit 6.5 games back of the Suns (33-22), so not having Nikola Pekovic (ankle) and Kevin Martin(hand) in the game may be the nail in the coffin with the season winding down.

Pekovic will be missing his 13th straight game after getting injured early on against the Chicago Bulls.

Martin will be missing his 7th straight game after injuring his hand against the New Orleans Pelicans. Martin met with a specialist Monday and is waiting not the results.

Pekovic is second on the team behind Kevin Love in rebounds and third in scoring behind Love and Martin. He’s averaging 18 points and 9.1 rebounds.

Martin has averaged 19 points during his first season with the Wolves.

The team is also without backup center Ronny Turiaf.
