San Diego State running back Adam Muema had one of the most bizarre exits we have ever seen from the NFL Scouting Combine. Muema had said that God told him he would play for the Seattle Seahawks if he didn’t work out, so he left. What happened next is even more puzzling.
According to Muema’s high school football coach Lou Farrar, where Muema is currently is “a big mystery,” and his close friends and family have not been able to get in touch with him since he left the combine.
“I have no idea where is,” a person close to Muema said. “[San Diego State coaches] have been trying to track him down, too. Every time they do, his phone is off. … It’s a frustrating deal.”
“It’s a big mystery,” said Lou Farrar, Muema’s former football coach at Charter Oak High [Calif.]. “At this point, we just hope he’s safe. As long as he’s safe. That’s all that really matters.”
While leaving the combine under the circumstances he chose was already troubling for NFL teams, but now the biggest concern is his health and well-being.
Whether or not he hurt himself by the way he left Indianapolis is not important until Muema’s family and friends are able to get back in touch with him and make sure that he is okay.
