The 2013-14 NHL season is back on. Now that the Winter Olympics are over, hockey fans can turn their attention back to pros. The Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins will play their first game in some 20-odd days in just a few hours. Jet lag and Olympic fatigue are sure to be a factor, as both squads sent a handful of players to Sochi.
For Boston, getting Zdeno Chara back will be a boon. He took off a bit earlier than the rest of the NHL players to carry the flag for his home nation in the opening ceremony. How will the big defender respond to a disappointing Olympic showing? Also returning for the B’s will be Patrice Bergeron and his shiny new gold medal.
Ryan Miller will likely get the call in net for the Sabres. He wasn’t utilized heavily by the Americans during the Olympics. That job fell to Jonathan Quick, who couldn’t quite get the job done for the USA. Looking for how to catch this game online or at home? We’ve got you covered.
