Carey Price out at least two games for Montreal Canadiens

Carey Price reportedly left the Montreal Canadiens practice this morning, and there’s now at least a small idea of how much time the goaltender will miss. It was initially said this morning that Price took a single shot in practice and then left the ice without returning.

Then the Canadiens revealed that they’d recalled Dustin Tokarski from the AHL to take Price’s place in the lineup this evening against the Detroit Red Wings.

Now the team has confirmed that the goal-medal winning goaltender tweaked something while in Sochi, and won’t be available for Montreal’s next two contests.

That’s a bit blow for Montreal, who entered the Olympic break on a three-game winning streak. They’re in need of every point, and now it seems that their fate rests with Peter Budaj for at least the next few contests.
