Dana White on Gilbert Melendez, TRT, and UFC London (Video)

The most recent big news in the UFC is their matching of Bellator’s contract to Lightweight contender, Gilbert Melendez. Not only will Melendez stay with the UFC, but he will be coaching opposite Anthony Pettis for The Ultimate Fighter season 20. TUF 20 will feature all Women’s Strawweights battling for the first ever UFC Women’s Strawweight championship. After the show is concluded, Pettis and Melendez will fight for the UFC Lightweight championship.

Dana White recently sat down with BT Sports for an interview regarding Gilbert Melendez, TUF 20, TRT in the sport of MMA, UFC London, and much more. If you missed the interview, check it out in the video above.

The UFC heads back to London next month as UFC Fight Night 37 is being broadcast exclusively on UFC Fight Pass. In the main event of the evening, former #1 contender Alexander Gustafsson will look to get a rematch with Jon Jones by attempting to defeat British undefeated prospect, Jimi Manuwa.

The co-main event is a pivotal Lightweight matchup between former training partners, Michael Johnson and Melvin Guillard. Johnson is on two fight winning streak, and hopes to make a statement in the Lightweight division with a win over Guillard. Melvin is looking to move past Ross Pearson, whom he was originally set to fight on this card. Pearson was forced out of the bout with an injury, and Johnson stepped up on short notice.
