It has not been a good year for veteran forward Gerald Wallace.
Before the season began, he was traded from a team who made the playoffs last year and has been furiously trying to become a legitimate NBA Finals contender in the Brooklyn Nets to a team that’s window as a title contender has just come to a close, the Boston Celtics, which is why they traded power forward Kevin Garnett, swingman Paul Pierce and guard Jason Terry to the Nets for Wallace, among others.
Wallace’s rough season continued on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks when he was slightly bumped and went crashing to the floor at the T.D. Garden.
Wallace is averaging just 5.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 24.3 minutes per game this season.
