The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 108-103 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. The Grizzlies improved to 32-24, and the Lakers fell to 19-39.
The Grizzlies opened up a 65-46 lead at halftime, and held on to defeat the Lakers at home.
Memphis is in ninth place in the Western Conference standings, one game behind the eighth place Phoenix Suns. The Lakers currently own the worst record in the West, and have lost 26 of their last 32 games.
Memphis top performers: Courtney Lee scored 18 points along with five assists and two rebounds. Tony Allen netted 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Marc Gasol scored 14 points, collected 12 rebounds, dished out five assists, and blocked two shots. James Johnson added 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Zach Randolph finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
Lakers top performers: Jodie Meeks scored 19 points along with four rebounds. Wesley Johnson netted 18 points, five rebounds, and four blocks. Pau Gasol scored 17 points and collected 10 boards. Jordan Farmar added 16 points and three assists, and Kent Bazemore scored 14 points and dished out four assists. MarShon Brooks finished with 14 points and three dimes.
Next game: The Grizzlies head to Oklahoma City on Friday to play the Thunder at 8 pm ET. The Lakers play the Kings on Friday at 10:30 pm ET.
