If you play in the Baltimore Orioles organization, you better know your Major League Baseball history.

That’s something minor league player Josh Hart is finding out after the young prospect apparently didn’t know who Frank Robinson was.

To add insult to injury, Robinson isn’t just an MLB legend – he’s a Hall of Fame Orioles talent, so Hart’s lack of awareness stung that much more.

Unhappy that the 19-year-old didn’t know who the icon was, manager Buck Showalter made the prospect write a one-page essay on Robinson.

The 19-year-old Hart, a sandwich pick in last year’s draft, was given an assignment to write a one-page report on Orioles Hall of Famer Frank Robinson, who was at camp on Monday to speak to the team under the invitation of executive vice president Dan Duquette.

Hart did his job apparently, but had yet to turn in the paper as he wasn’t at the Major League complex on Tuesday.

He plans to turn it in to Schowalter the next time he comes in contact with the Orioles skipper.
