NBA Buyout Rumors: Jimmer Fredette not interested in Cleveland Cavaliers

The Sacramento Kings are apparently putting the finishing touches on Jimmer Fredette‘s buyout – a deal that will allow the third year veteran to sign any place he wants.

One place he apparently won’t be signing is Cleveland as the former BYU star doesn’t have the Cavaliers on his list of potential destinations, this according to Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio.

Minimum. Been told CLE not on his radar. RT @MassieSports Are #Cavs going to explore signing Jimmer? What do they have to offer money wise?

There’s been some speculation that Fredette will opt to sign with a team who will give him playing time during the seasons final few months instead of latching on with a contender.

Fredette wants to prove his skills going into free agency and he’s unlikely to get such an opportunity with a team that already has a tight rotation.

Of course, the lure of an NBA Championship is pretty nice and if a team like the Miami Heat come calling, that’s a hard thing to say no to.
