NFL Draft Rumors: Philadelphia Eagles considering trading down in first-round

The NFL Draft is right around the corner in May and that has a lot teams looking at what their strategy will be in what is being called an extremely deep draft. The Philadelphia Eagles are sitting at No. 22 overall but there’s a chance that they don’t stay there long and trade down when the opportunity to do so arises.

According to Eagles scribe Jimmy Kemspki, the team isn’t married to the No. 22 overall pick and are open to trading down if the player they want isn’t available to them anymore.

Per Kempski:

Another way the Eagles can acquire extra picks would be to trade back during the draft, and there could be some intriguing trade partners. If the Eagles are on the board at 22 and don’t have a player sitting there that is a value they’re not thrilled with, the following teams could be logical trade back partners.

This doesn’t mean the Eagles are a lock to trade down, but having at on of draft picks usually works for the Eagles and this is the draft you’ll want to be loaded with picks.
