Phoenix Suns at Utah Jazz final score: Jazz defeat Suns 109-86

The Utah Jazz defeated the Phoenix Suns 109-86 at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The Jazz improved to 21-36, and the Suns fell to 33-24.

The Jazz cruised to victory against a Suns team that did not have their two leading scorers.  Goran Dragic (20.2 PPG) did not play due to an ankle injury, and Eric Bledsoe (18.0 PPG) continues to rehab his surgically-repaired knee.

The Suns need Dragic and Bledsoe to return soon because they are fighting for a spot in the playoffs.  Phoenix is currently in the eighth and final spot in the West, only a half game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Jazz top performers: Gordon Hayward nearly missed out on a triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.  Richard Jefferson netted 17 points and collected three boards.  Derrick Favors added 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.  Alec Burks and Diante Garrett scored 15 points each.  Jeremy Evans finished with 11 points and eights rebounds, and Trey Burke added 10 points and two assists.

Suns top performers: Gerald Green scored 17 points along with three rebounds and two steals.  Archie Goodwin netted 16 points, seven boards, and two steals.  Ish Smith scored 13 points, collected eight boards, and dished out five assists.  Markieff Morris finished with 11 points and four rebounds.

Next game: The Jazz play at Cleveland on Friday at 7:30 pm ET.  The Suns play the Pelicans on Friday at 10:30 pm ET on ESPN.
