First it was Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston playing against the New York Yankees, and now it’ll be another football award winner, Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl-winning QB Russell Wilson, who will be taking part in the 2014 Major League Baseball spring season. According to FOX Sports, Wilson will be at the team’s workout on Monday and then will be in uniform for the game against the Cleveland Indians.

To the surprise of some, Wilson said shortly after helping lead the Seahawks in the dominant win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 48 that he would fulfill his obligations to the Texas Rangers, who own the rights to the former N.C. State standout baseball player.
There’s no word yet on whether or not Wilson will actually see any action in the game, although one at-bat couldn’t hurt.
Well, not if you ask Pete Carroll.
