The Florida Gators landed their fifth commitment for the class of 2015 when 3-star tight end Camrin Knight committed to Florida Wednesday night.
“Coach Muschamp told me during that he wanted me to be a Gator so today I decided to be a Gator,” Knight told Andrew Spivey of GatorCountry.com. “Coach Muschamp said that he thinks that I fit into the offense very well and that he’s excited to have me.”
The 6-4, 225-pounder who attends Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida, visited Florida on their Junior day last week.
“Great pick up for the gators. Long athletic kid that can run and is physical,” Lincoln coach Yusuf Shakur explained.
Knight is considered the 24th ranked tight end prospect, 119th ranked overall prospect in the state of Florida and the 886th best overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Knight chose Florida over offers from the Cincinnati Bearcats, East Carolina Pirates, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Maryland Terrapins, among others.
