We are just one week away from the arrival of the latest installation in the epic 300 franchise entitled 300: Rise of an Empire. Over the last few months, we have showed you everything from character posters to trailers, teasers, and more; however, there is one thing that never quite got touched on…the villains of the film.
Thankfully, the good people at Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have remedied this. Now, we have a new featurette that does just that, introduces us to the villains of 300: Rise of an Empire.
In the featurette we meet someone new and revisit someone we love to hate.
First, they take a look at Artemisia. She is played in the film by Penny Dreadful’s Eva Green. She is described in the featurette as dangerous, sexy, and unapologetic. Unfortunately, after watching the featurette, you will have a pretty good understanding as to why she has such a serious distaste for Greece.
Then, we take a look at Xerxes, who is played in the film by Rodrigo Santoro. We will finally get to see what happened to Xerxes that ultimately turned him from a mortal man into the God-King we met in the original 300 film.
You will come to find out that there is a lot more than meets the eye when it comes to this character. Alongside every great man, whether good or evil, there generally stands a great woman. Unfortunately for Xerxes, his just happens to dance along the line of insanity.
Here is a look at the new featurette from the upcoming film 300: Rise of an Empire.
The film, directed by Noam Murro, stars Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey,Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro, Sullivan Stapleton, Jack O’Connell, and many more.
300: Rise of an Empire is scheduled to be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and Conventional Theaters on March 7, 2014
