The Penn State Nittany Lions landed a big commitment.
4-star running back Andre Robinson gave his pledge to Penn State on Thursday.
Robinson is thrilled with Penn State head coach James Franklin and his new staff.
“The new coaching staff,” Robinson added when asked what sealed the deal via Steve Wiltfong of 24/7 Sports. “Coach Franklin and Coach Huff really impressed me.”
The 5’9, 205-pound Robinson attends Bishop Mcdevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Robinson took an unofficial visit to Happy Valley to check out Penn State’s facilities over the weekend.
“I really liked it Monday, and I honestly couldn’t see myself anywhere else,” Robinson said. “I love it up here.”
Robinson is ranked as the 12th best running back prospect in the country, the third best overall prospect in the state of Pennsylvania and the 157th best overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Robinson chose Penn State over offers from the Louisville Cardinals, Michigan State Spartans, Ohio State Buckeyes and Virginia Tech Hokies, among others.
Robinson rushed for 2,338 and 29 touchdowns last season.
