The NFL will return with game action on Aug. 3, with the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills participating in the 2014 Hall of Fame Game at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The NFL announced the game on Thursday morning.

The game will kick off the new NFL season at 8 p.m. ET.

Both teams will be represented in the 2014 Hall of Fame class thanks to wide receiver Andre Reed and defensive end Michael Strahan.

While playing in the Hall of Fame Game means that each team will have one additional preseason game in 2014 which brings their total to five, it could be good news for new Bills head coach Doug Marrone as he gets extra time to allow his players to familiarize themselves with his schemes.
