Before the 2013-14 college basketball season got underway, there were some that were actually speculating that the Kentucky Wildcats would not just be great this season with their stud freshmen class, but they might even go undefeated. If that were to happen then, obviously, they would be the SEC regular season champions.
So, it was a bit ironic that on Thursday night, another head-scratching Kentucky loss would basically hand the SEC regular season title to quite possibly the team that has become the best in the nation, the Florida Gators.
With the Kentucky loss to Arkansas tonight, Florida clinches the SEC title outright.

With Arkansas completing the improbable season sweep of the Wildcats this evening, the number one team in the country can now call themselves outright Southeastern Conference regular season kings, adding to their already impressive resume along with being the current number one team in the nation.
Things are beginning to take shape as the month of March rapidly approaches.
