Maple Leafs at Islanders live stream: How to watch online

The New York Islanders and Toronto Maple Leafs are two teams headed in very different directions coming out of the 2014 Winter Olympic break.

New York lost their best player in John Tavares to injury in Sochi. He was part of a gold medal effort for Canada, but he probably won’t be able to lace up the skates for the Isles again this season. To make matters even worse on Long Island, Austrian captain Thomas Vanek was called out for being part of a late-night party prior to an elimination game.

That doesn’t look very good on the resume.

Toronto’s players performed a bit better in the Olympics. Phil Kessel and James van Riemsdyk were part of one of the most dynamic lines in the tournament. They dominated stretches of play for the United States during the preliminary round, but couldn’t come up with similar efforts during the elimination section of the tourney.

They’ll all look to put the past behind them in this first game back after the Winter Games. Looking for how and where to catch the game online? Here’s how:
