NBA Rumors: Marcus Camby says Houston Rockets 'ideal situation'

The Houston Rockets were said to be looking for some additional size come the NBA’s trade deadline.

Of course, such size is often expensive and the Rockets already have both Dwight Howard an Omer Asik on the roster, so finding playing time for a third big man might be difficult.

But it seems like something Marcus Camby would be open to, suggesting the Houston Rockets are his ‘ideal situation‘.

“Houston has called,” Camby said. “With Houston they are playing good ball right now, they’re right down the street from me, and that would be the ideal situation.”

Camby, rehabbing from an ACL injury, is expected to return to the NBA in the coming weeks and says he has fielded calls from a handful of teams, though the Rockets appear to be his preferred destination.

The former UMass talent has played with the Rockets organization before and is familiar with the coaching staff, thus the possible interest (in addition to the proximity to one of his homes).

Camby most recently played for the New York Knicks last season.
