Urban Meyer followed 'God's path' to Ohio State Buckeyes

Urban Meyer is one of the best active head coaches in college football with two national championships on his resume with the Florida Gators, but after health problems forced an early retirement only to take the Ohio State Buckeyes job one year later, many had speculated about the path led him to Columbus.

Meyer’s wife Shelly tells NBC4, that there was a higher power in play that led Urban to his dream job with the Buckeyes.

“I mean, if that’s not what’s supposed to happen, what is? I’ve always been a believer that there’s a path we’re supposed to take. God has a path for us. We’ve always followed the path,” said Shelly.

Life takes us on a wild adventure and we don’t always end up where we are meant to end up or should end up, but the Meyer’s have and they don’t plan on leaving any time soon.

“This is the last job. I mean, no matter what people say on Twitter, or message boards, or what – THIS is the job.”
