San Diego Chargers linebacker Donald Butler proved to be one of the better defensive players they had on their roster in 2013. The 25 year old recorded a total of 84 tackles, .5 sacks and one interception.

He improved his numbers  from 79 last year, but managed to record a career high in sacks with three in 2012. Butler recorded three games this year where he recorded 10 or more tackles. The Chargers opened up the year against the Houston Texans, a game where Butler recorded 13 tackles and half a sack.

Now according to NFL on ESPN on Twitter, the San Diego Chargers and three year linebacker Donald Butler were able to come to an agreement on a multi-year deal.

Not only did he finish second on the team in tackles, but he led the team in that category during the postseason. No word on the official details as of right now, but I’m sure he got himself a decent amount.
