Veteran wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and the Philadelphia Eagles were able to reach an agreement on a one year deal according to NFL on ESPN’s Twitter. It was originally posted by Adam Schefter.

Maclin, a former 1st round (19th overall) pick in the 2009 draft by the Philadelphia Eagles, went into training camp last year in hopes of having himself another big year. He finished 2012 with 69 receptions for 857 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

Things were looking promising for Maclin until he suffered a torn ACL on July 27th and ended up playing played on the injured reserve on July 30th. He would miss the entire season.

Now that Jeremy will be returning for another year with the Eagles, it’s time for him to get back on track with this offense led by starting quarterback Nick Foles. Foles had himself a great second half and should carry that performance over to the beginning of the 2014 season.

If Maclin is able to stay healthy, this Foles kid is going to be having himself a field day against opposing defenses.
