NBA Buyout Rumors: Chicago Bulls prefer Jimmer Fredette to Ben Gordon

The Chicago Bulls do have interest in signing Ben Gordon – but only if they miss out on Jimmer Fredette, this according to Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald.

Former Bulls guard Ben Gordon has reportedly worked on a contract buyout with the Charlotte Bobcats. The Bulls are not expected to have interest unless they miss out on Fredette.

The Bulls could use some scoring pop off their bench, something Fredette and Gordon would both bring to the table – though Gordon seems to be the better of the two in that regard – Fredette more efficient.

Unlike Fredette, who received his walking papers from the Sacramento Kings earlier this week, Gordon is still working on his buyout and it’s not known if he’d seriously consider returning to the Bulls (where he spent the early portion of his career) at this current time.

Fredette meanwhile is said to be ‘strongly’ considering signing with the Bulls and appears to be the most likely of the two options at this point.
