NBA Rumors: Miami Heat’s ‘Big 3′ not interested in pay cuts?

It’s not known if LeBron James will opt out of his contract at season end, though it seems likely – simply to secure a new deal.

That doesn’t mean he plans to leave the Miami Heat if he does, but as James does, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade will likely follow.

Don’t expect any of the three to take a lower salary to help the Heat organization moving forward though, that’s the word from Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News.

The days of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh sacrificing millions for the good of the team are over, according to well-placed Heat sources.

The sentiment of Miami’s ‘Big 3′ taking such a pay cut was brought up because technically, if the Heat wanted to get creative with their payroll, they could essentially afford to pay James, Bosh, Wade and Carmelo Anthony – though it would take a bit of mountaineering and Miami’s ‘Big 3′ taking reduced money for such to happen.
