Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge practiced for the first time in nearly two weeks Friday.
The All-Star has missed Portland’s last five games due to a groin injury.
Aldridge said he felt good out on the court and that his status would be re-evaluated Saturday:
“I felt OK going through a full practice, didn’t have any issues or anything. A good sign today. We are going to see how I feel in the morning and go from there. I want to make sure when I’m back, I’m back for good.”
Portland guard Will Barton also said Aldridge looked good at practice:
“LaMarcus looked like he hadn’t missed a day; he looked good. He’s our best player, our All-Star, so any time we have him back, it’s encouraging. We are much better when he’s on the court.”
The Trail Blazers, 4-1 in Aldridge’s absence, will play the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
