Cincinnati at UConn final score: Huskies topple 11th-ranked Bearcats 51-45

As we enter the month of March on Saturday, the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Connecticut Huskies showed that you don’t want to play either of them come tournament time, as both battled it out in an American Athletic Conference contest, with the Huskies coming away with the 51-45 win at home inside the XL Center.

UConn got a huge performance once again from their star, Shabazz Napier, who finished the afternoon with a double-double, dropping in 18 points while adding 11 rebounds.

The game was tight going into the intermission after the first 20 minutes, with the Huskies holding a slim 26-25 lead, and they were able to hold off a good effort from the 11th-ranked team in the country down the stretch.

Guard Sean Kilpatrick led the Bearcats in the loss with 16 points and five rebounds, the only Cincinnati player to finish in double figures on the afternoon.

Now, the AAC is up in the air as we come down the stretch, with a huge match up between Louisville and Memphis still to go on Saturday.
