Kentucky head coach John Calipari ejected in second half against South Carolina

As the 2013-14 college basketball season is rapidly coming to a close, John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats are trying to show that they are indeed one of the more dominant teams in the country and a legitimate national title contender, as we all thought they were a few months ago.

Well, on Saturday, they’re not doing their best to prove that as they’ve been having one of their rougher outings of the season against the South Carolina Gamecocks, just one game after getting beaten by the Arkansas Razorbacks for the second time this season.

They’re down by double digits in the second half currently and if they’re going to make a comeback, they’re going to have to do so without their famous head coach as Calipari has just been run from the building after arguing a call with the officials with under 10 minutes to go.

There’s no doubt that this team has all the ability in the world to pull this out, but it’ll be a little harder to get them motivated to do so without Calipari’s leadership.

This could be where having such a young team is a huge hindrance.
