The Los Angeles Dodgers likely awaited the MRI results of Matt Kemp by chewing on their nails, but apparently there was no need as Kemp’s MRI came back clean.
And while Kemp isn’t fully cleared for all baseball activities, the Dodgers have cleared him to increase his activity after the favorable results.
Matt Kemp will be allowed to do more baseball drills after a favorable MRI. Maybe some running.
The MVP candidate had been extremely limited in what he could do during the first few weeks of camp but the increase in activity should hopefully advance him enough to be ready come the U.S. based portion of the Dodgers regular season schedule.
Despite the solid MRI, it’s still relatively unlikely that Kemp will be able to play in the Dodgers ‘season opener’ which will be held in Australia against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Regardless, it’s still very positive news for both Kemp and the Dodgers – along with those who bleed blue as Kemp looks to be getting closer to a return.
Expect to see him out there come the first or second series of the season.
