The Tennessee Titans seek help at the middle linebacker spot.

In addition to their interest in free agent former Cleveland Brown D’Qwell Jackson, it sounds like the Titans might try to pursue Karlos Dansby, who played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2013. He has familiarity with head coach Ken Whisenhunt from his first stint in Arizona (2004-2009) and could become an even more appealing target.

From Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com:

"Jackson is to visit the Broncos on Sunday, and is also reportedly fielding interest from Arizona. The Cardinals could be prepping to lose Karlos Dansby as a free agent, and Dansby is a player Whisenhunt knows well from time together in Arizona. The Titans might love Jackson, who at 30 is two years younger than Dansby. They might love Dansby more.”"

According to ProFootballFocus, Dansby was the 5th best inside linebacker in the entire NFL last season on a play by play basis (subscription required). Jackson, on the other hand, was given a negative grade for the year and ranked 42nd in the league. There is no denying his skill set, however, which explains the interest in him from the Titans along with teams like the Denver Broncos.

Interestingly, Dansby said earlier this month that he planned to re-sign with the Cardinals. The Titans could hope that the familiarity they can offer, along with a nice contract offer, could lure him to Tennessee.
