One of the more intriguing names on the trade market as we get closer and closer to the March 5 NHL Trade Deadline has been Brad Boyes of the Florida Panthers. For teams that are looking to get the extra points from shootouts in the final few weeks of the season, Boyes is the obvious choice to pick up as he has been a specialist this season.
However, according to Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet, teams that are looking to acquire him might be disappointed.

While Boyes could net the Panthers a pretty good return for a rental, he is also the type of player that could help guide the Panthers young players with his veteran experience. He might not be a difference-maker in the grand scheme of things, but he is valuable to the Panthers.
However, if the Panthers and Boyes can’t come to terms, it is almost a certainty that he will be traded before the deadline. The Panthers will probably be a busy team in the next couple days and they will be trying to pick up as many prospects or draft picks as possible.
I’m sure Boyes would rather stay in Florida as he has bounced around a couple of NHL teams. Since the 2010-11 season, Boyes has played with the St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders before landing in Florida to begin this season.
With four days to go before the deadline, will Brad Boyes stay in Florida, or will he be wearing a different uniform after March 5?
