New England Patriots CB Alfonzo Dennard reported to jail this morning in Lincoln, NE as part of probation for assaulting a police officer in 2012.

Dennard will have to stay at the Lancaster County Adult Detention Facility for 35 days, after credit for good time and three days served. From the Lincoln Journal Star:

"In April, a judge gave him two years’ probation, 30 days in jail and community service for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest days before he was chosen in the NFL Draft."

His legal issues didn’t end there since he was arrested for DUI in July. All in all, this could have been much worse for the New England CB who had 40 total tackles and 1 INT last season.

He should be ready to roll by training camp.
