The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Sacramento Kings 126-122 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Lakers improved to 20-39, and the Kings fell to 20-38.
Jordan Farmar went eight for ten from downtown, and finished with 30 points and seven assists to lead the Lakers past the Kings.
The Lakers were down by 11 points at the half, but they used a 41-point third quarter to get back into the game. Los Angeles continued to shoot the rock in the fourth quarter, and defeated the Kings by four points.
Lakers shooting guard MarShon Brooks added 23 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Shooting guard Jodie Meeks did not miss a shot from the field (8 for 8), and finished with 22 points and four assists. Center Pau Gasol scored 22 points along with five rebounds and six assists. Wesley Johnson finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.
The Kings played well on the offensive side of the ball. Small forward Rudy Gay scored 32 points, collected seven rebounds, and dished out five assists. Point guard Isaiah Thomas added 26 points and eight assists. Derrick Williams and Jason Thompson finished with double-doubles. Williams scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Thompson scored 17 points with 11 boards.
