The night after this past January’s Royal Rumble event, shockwaves were sent throughout the WWE Universe when CM Punk allegedly walked out moments before Raw was to go on the air, and he hasn’t been seen on WWE television since. Well, according to Dave Meltzer, that might be set to change this Monday as it’s being expected that Punk will return to the company in front of his hometown Chicago crowd, right before WrestleMania XXX.
As noted earlier, Dave Meltzer said on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that CM Punk is expected to be at Monday’s RAW from Chicago. Meltzer wouldn’t say he’s 100% sure Punk will be there and really didn’t sound too sure of it but his source, who is reportedly a top WWE star, said it’s 100% certain.
This would be tremendous news as there was a lot of concern as to how this Monday’s show in the Windy City would go without the fans’ hero present. There have already been multiple reports of fans in attendance wanting to hijack the show.
As far as Punk goes, the report also went on to state that there is a possibility that he could be inserted into the Batista vs. Randy Orton WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, which would appease the fans, while the HHH vs. Daniel Bryan feud would go on as planned.
