Jayson Werth scratched from Nationals' ST game

It had been expected that Jayson Werth was going to make his Grapefruit League debut today against the Miami Marlins.

Now, multiple sources affiliated with the Washington Nationals are reporting that Werth has been scratched from today’s lineup with no reason given. The new lineup will now feature Eury Perez in center and Nate McLouth in right field.

Werth had been just easing into the routine of Spring Training, as opposed to last year when he was coming off of wrist surgery. He had a great 2013, slashing .318/.398/.532 over 129 games while hitting 25 homers and driving in 82.
