Kendrick Lamar’s second album, the follow up to the critically claimed “good kid, m.A.A.d. city” album, could be coming soon. According to reports on Billboard, Lamar it will drop in September.
According to Top Dawg Entertainment’s Anthony Tiffith, plans are in motion to release a new Kendrick Lamar album this year.
Also in the new cover story: Tiffith indicated that a new Lamar album could hit later this September.
Lamar’s Black Hippy group could be releasing an album this year too.
Top Dawg co-president Dave Free also revealed that rap supergroup Black Hippy — which consists of Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul — could make an appearance of some sort in 2014, though it’s unknown whether any sort of release could come of it.
It’ll be interesting to see how Lamar’s second album can live up to the first album which is already being labeled a classic despite being shut out at the Grammy’s.
