D.J. Augustin came off of the bench to lead all scorers with 23 points and Joakim Noah nearly had a triple double by halftime as the Chicago Bulls rolled to a 109-90 victory over the New York Knicks at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois Sunday afternoon.

It was the Bulls’ ninth win in their last 10 games.

Augustin scored 21 of his 23 points in the final quarter while Noah was two rebounds shy of a triple double at the break. He finished with 13 points, 14 assists, 12 rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

Five other players, Jimmy Butler (19), Carlos Boozer (14), Taj Gibson (13), Kirk Hinrich (11) and Mike Dunleavy (10), scored in double figures for the Bulls.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 21 points and Tyson Chandler had eight points, 22 rebounds and three blocks.

The Bulls dominated the opening quarter and had a 37-16 lead by the conclusion of the period.

The Bulls, known for their defense, did not disappoint, holding the Knicks to just five three-pointers on 18 attempts.

Jimmer Fredette made his Bulls’ debut in the closing minutes and connected on a jumper. He finished with two points and two rebounds.

The Bulls are now 33-26 while the Knicks are just 21-39.
